- Use equipment in line with organisational safety procedures, manufacturer’s instructions environmental protection practices.
- Commence jointing process, identify problems and adjust settings.
- Check finished joints for strength and appearance in line with organisational quality standards.
- Dispose of sub-standard samples and finished products in line with environmental protection practices.
- Maintain production flow
- Run automatic jointing process and regularly check correct operation of all sections.
- Monitor processes to ensure continuity of supply and processing.
- Evaluate product quality regularly and make required adjustments.
- Clear work area regularly in line with organisational safety procedures.
- Identify routine processing and equipment faults and resolve or report to appropriate personnel.
- Complete production and quality records and report in line with organisational procedures.
- Complete operator maintenance
- Follow organisational safety procedures to lock out equipment.
- Check cutters and saw blades for bluntness or damage.
- Remove and replace cutters and blades in line with manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Dispose of used blades in line with organisational procedures and environmental protection practices.
- Record and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements to appropriate personnel.
